Your instructor will guide participants through the process of creating a face on a wheel-turned cup that is sure to make you smile! Previous experience with clay is not required.

You will be notified when your finished piece is ready for pick up, usually in 2-3 three weeks. Participants may choose to have their creation shipped for a fee of $12. This fee covers the cost of shipping supplies and postage payable at the end of the class. This class is designed for adults but children 14 and older are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Bringing an apron is recommended.

Debra Zimmerman

I'm a potter and mosaic artist and have been creating art for most of my life.  Having moved to Catawba Valley 10 years ago, I have spent the better part of that time dedicated to the craft of clay.  My unique and whimsical pottery and stained glass mosaics can be found at local art shows, gift shops, and galleries under my business name ‘Groovy Girl Art Studio’.  With a desire to educate and inspire others, I teach pottery and mosaic classes in area schools, community businesses, and in my home studio which I share with my husband, Dale who is also a potter.
