Village Festival Vendor Application

Saturday, October 27, 2018  10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Hart Square’s annual Village Festival brings to life the largest collection of historic log cabins in the United States. With the help of 300 highly skilled artisans, authentic demonstrations of pioneer trades and crafts are displayed for our 4,000 visitors. This event serves as the largest fundraiser for the non-profit, Hart Square Foundation.

We prefer vendors whose brand and menu items align with the authentic and historic nature of the festivities. However, we will consider anyone who believes that their brand and product would be a good fit for the festival.

To maintain the feel of early America, we allow generators, but prefer quieter ones if available. Our site currently does not offer electrical hook ups or outlets in the vendor field. We do not have water hook up capabilities. The vendor space is 25 by 25 feet. (If you require unique sizing, please ask us.)

The location of our historic site is 5029 Hope Road Vale, NC 28168. We allow vendors to set up on Friday October 26, 2018 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. The Village Festival is a rain or shine event. If it does rain, we will work with you to make your set-up as successful as possible.

Vendors that require a health permit must have paperwork submitted to Hart Square 15 days prior to the event via email: rebecca@hartsquare.com. Contact the Catawba County Environmental Health at (828) 465-8270 if you are unsure about a required inspection. https://www.catawbacountync.gov/county-services/environmental-health/

Hart Square Foundation will not be responsible in the case of fire, theft, accident or injury. Vendors must provide a copy of their insurance 15 days prior to the event via email: rebecca@hartsquare.com. No vendor is exempt from event insurance.

Our vendor fee is a flat rate of $500 dollars. Ideally, we will be selecting a total of three vendors for this event. This is contingent on the number of customers the vendor can serve. We permit vendors to sell breakfast foods to our volunteers and the “early parkers” who begin arriving at 8 a.m. in addition to lunch and snacks throughout the day.

Hart Square staff and volunteers will provide trash cans and bags at your station. Vendors are responsible for cleaning their areas after use and stacking the industrial trash bags for our volunteers and staff.
